Unbossed & Unbowed

Shirley Chisholm is back… to tell it like it really is! Ingrid Griffith’s award winning production is the largely unheard story of Shirley St. Hill Chisholm. This trail blazer, visionary and woman for our time was a Brooklyn-born politician of immigrant parents (father is Guyanese from Linden and mother is Barbadian), who in the 20th century was the first African-American woman to win a seat in the U.S. Congress and run for the Presidency of the United States.
