INSIDE OUT: MEN BEHIND BARS MARCH 26TH-29TH
This ground-breaking new theatrical work brings the real voices and experiences of incarcerated men to light, shedding light on the realities of the prison system. Working with Dr. Linda Green, University of Arizona anthropologist, Managing Artistic Director, Betsy Kruse Craig writes and directs. Starring: Jonathan Heras, Lucas Gonzales, Richard ” Chomps” Thompson, Steve Waite.
Inside Out: Men Behind Bars is based on months-long engaged ethnographic research funded by the Wenner Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research awarded to Linda Green, an anthropologist at UArizona working with incarcerated students to document their daily lives. Partnering with The Invisible Theatre, the men’s insights into the everyday realities of incarceration are dramatically brought to life through public theatre.
